=Short version how to install UO Outlands using Classic UO with Razor on a Mac=

This method is working for Mac OSX 10.15.6 (19G73) -- latest update as of 7/15/2020. Note that neither the Outlands installer nor the launcher are functional using this method, so we work around it. If you need help or more information, contact paxprobellum#7759 on Discord.

1. Disable SIP by holding CMD+R on startup, then issuing command "csrutil disable" in Terminal

* NB: This is a 'security risk' but necessary for this procedure. If you don't want to disable SIP, try using Bootcamp or Parallels.

2. Install X11 via XQuartz
* Download latest version from Xquartz.org - direct download [https://dl.bintray.com/xquartz/downloads/XQuartz-2.7.11.dmg here].

3. Download Wineskin Winery - "V1.8.4: Wineskin-Winery-1.8.4" from [https://github.com/Gcenx/WineskinServer here].
* Direct download [https://github.com/Gcenx/WineskinServer/releases/download/V1.8.4/Unofficial.Wineskin.Winery.zip link] here.
* This is the latest version as of 7/15/2020

4. Start the Wineskin Winery and install the engine "WS11WineCX64Bit19.0.1-1"
* This is the latest version as of 7/15/2020

5. Update Wrapper, then create a "New Blank Wrapper"
* Name it UOOutlands and click "yes" for everything. This part will take awhile.

6. Run your wrapper and select "Install Software", then "Copy a Folder Inside". Select your patched "Ultima Online Outlands" folder that you copied on to a flash drive from your Windows PC.
* This is a kludge, but you get to keep your hotkeys/macros!
* Latest "patch" can be downloaded in full [http://patch.uooutlands.com:4594/Outlands.zip here] if necessary at any point.

7. Set Screen Options -> change window system to X11, use a virtual desktop, use windowed.

8. Advanced -> Configuration -> Windows EXE should be set to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ultima Online Outlands\ClassicUO\ClassicUO.exe"

9. Advanced -> Tools -> Winetricks. Update winetricks itself, and then install:
* vcrun2010
* d3dx9
* dotnet20
* dotnet40
* dotnet471

10. Optional: Change the icon
* Download this [https://uooutlands.com/wiki/images/4/42/UOIcon.png transparent UO icon], open in preview, and copy the image (Command+A, Command+C).
* Right click on UOOutlands.app, click "Get Info", click the photo of the icon (very top left), then paste (Command+V).

11. Optional 2: True full screen mode (no X11 window bar, OSX menu bar, or dock)
* Create a space for X11 through Mission Control (Control + Up), then press the plus button in the top right corner of the screen.
* Switch to the new space, start X11 (Command + Space then type "Xquartz" and hit enter).
* Right-click the X11 icon in the Dock and click Options -> This Desktop.
* Click X11’s application menu -> Preferences -> Output -> Check "Full-Screen Mode".
* Close the preferences dialog and quit X11

12. Double click your wrapper (UOOutlands.app) to run! See you in game.

The Town Struggle Area is considered to be the entire town region of the event as well as a 100 Tile Radius that extends around each Capture and Respawn location (which for some will extend out and beyond the town's guard zone). While inside the Town Struggle Area during a Town Struggle event:

* Murderers can participate in Town Struggles, as long as they begin in the Neutral Faction Base at the start of the event like other players
* Murderers who have become Town Struggle participants have a 15 minutes grace period after a Town Struggle ends to leave the area before flagging as normal and becoming a Guard Zone candidate
* Participants flag as Green to other members of their same Faction (Team)
* Participants flag as Orange to members of the opposing Faction (Team)
* Participants may not perform hostile actions to Green (friendly) players

* Every 30 seconds a "Control Check" occurs at each Capture Zone to which is used to determine scoring
* If a Faction is in control of the Capture Zone (their Flags are displayed and Progress bar appears as Green to them) and no enemy Faction players are present, the Faction earns 10 Points
* If both Factions are currently present at the Capture Zone, the zone is considered Contested, and each Faction earns 5 Points

* Whenever a Faction earns points for controlling or contesting a capture zone, each player in that faction at that zone will also score Individual Control Points equal to (Faction Points Earned / Faction Members Present)

* Whenever a player is killed, the player who did the most damage to the target is considered receiving the credit for the kill and their "Kills" stat will be increased by one (this stat is purely for display purposes though)
* If a kill results in points being stolen from the opposing faction, then every individual player involved in the kill earns "Kill Points" equal to their (% Damage Dealt to Player * Faction Points Stolen)
* For instance, a faction that currently has a score of 100 Points has a member of their team killed, which would result in 100 * .05 = 5 Points being stolen from them
* A player who did 50% of the total damage dealt to that killed player would earn 5 * .50 = 2.5 Kill Points for their own individual score tracking
* A player who did 25% of the total damage dealt to that killed player would earn 5 * .25 = 1.25 Kill Points for their own individual score tracking

For example, a player that would normally have a 50% chance to cure a particular poison, would instead only have a 25% chance to cure if the poison was inflicted by a player with 100 Poisoning and 100 Taste ID

* Chance to Cure Creature = ((125% - (Poison Level * 25%)) * (Veterinary Skill / 100)) - (Slips * 2%);

==PvM==
* Bandaging a target that is poisoned will also heal damage on it, regardless of the result of the cure attempt. Healing amounts for bandaging poisoned targets while in PvM are as follows:

* Lesser Poison: 100% of normal healing
* Regular Poison: 100% of normal healing
* Greater Poison: 75% of normal healing
* Deadly Poison: 50% of normal healing
* Lethal Poison: 25% of normal healing

==Training==
* Healing training requires bandages.
* Up to 50.0 skill can be trained by a NPC healer vendor.
* Skill gains for Healing up to 70.0 are accelerated in the [[New Player Dungeon]].
** <u>Method One:</u>
** 50-70 Use bandages to heal missing health while in the New Player Dungeon.
** 70-80 Use bandages to heal missing health
** 80-100 Use bandages to attempt to resurrect a dead player.
** <u>Method Two:</u>
** Go to a mage shop and buy a magical wizard hat.
** 50-70 Equip the hat and Unequip the hat. Immediately heal yourself while in the New Player Dungeon.
** 70-80 Equip the hat and Unequip the hat. Immediately heal yourself.
** 80-100 get a character killed on a 2nd account and toggle war mode on. Attempt to resurrect that character with your character training healing.<br>
