Boss Creatures

Name Location Slayer Difficulty Base Hits Melee Damage Wrestling Armor Magic Resist Parry Magery Spell Damage Poison Poisoning Poison Resist Stealth

Boss Custodians

  • Each Boss room (but not Mini-Boss areas) has a Custodian creature that spawns and patrols the room while the Boss is not currently spawned (and will disappear if the Boss does spawn)
  • Custodians periodically search the Boss room for players and tamed creatures and will reveal any found
  • Revealed players/tamed creatures will have a Fire Field dropped on them, will be prevented from Hiding again for 10 seconds, and will likely be attacked by the Custodian

Contested Bosses

  • Natural spawns will sometimes be contested - these are hostile events, where everyone is gray to one another in the boss room
  • Players cannot cast Field Spells (Wall of Stone, Energy Field, Poison Field, etc) inside of Boss Rooms while a Contested Boss is active
  • Players will flag as Orange to each other if they have both left a Contested Boss Room within the last 2 minutes
  • While a Contested Boss is alive and active within a dungeon, braziers outside of the Boss Room will have a Blue Flame animation present
    • This is to warn players that entering the Boss Room is a Grey Zone
    • When the Contested Boss is killed, the Blue Flames will extinguish

More Details

  • Read about how the Boss Results system works
  • Damage Entries Expiration Duration: 40 minutes
    • This is when a player's damage progress towards a creature will "wipe" the player's damage
    • Determines looting rights, Aspect XP, Achievements or Society progress
  • Bosses have no mandatory cooldowns on Barding Effects placed on them, and any number of players can place the same effect on a Boss-type creature simultaneously (the damage adjustments will not stack, but the highest raw skill Discordance will take effect)
    • The Boss Barding Break effect (which replaces the normal effects of Provocation or Peacemaking on a Boss) will now increase a Boss-type creature's delay between using abilities by 33%
    • Discordance effects on Boss-type creatures suffer the same effect scaling reductions that all other special effects, such as Pierce/Cripple/etc, suffer against bosses (i.e 50% reduction on Mini-Bosses, 40% reduction on Bosses (including Omni Bosses), etc)
