Wrestling skill grants the ability to attack and defend with no weapon equipped

  • Wrestling base damage against creatures is 2-8
  • Wrestling base damage against players is 1-4
  • Wrestling attacks have a base speed of 50
  • Visit the Arena and queue up for a boxing match

PvM: Wrestling Weapon Special Attack

  • Increases damage by 400%
  • There is a 10% chance of inflicting a Wrestling Weapon Special Attack against creatures
  • Disorients the target for 16 seconds (reduces melee accuracy by 10% and causes a 10% chance for spellcasters to fizzle spells when casting)

Miscellaneous

A reason you get Wrestling on a mage template is because you don't want to be interrupted when you're casting. The calculation for chance-to-hit is:

Chance_To_Hit = (Your_Weapon_Skill + 50) / ( (Their_Weapon_skill+50) * 2.0 )

It's important to have wrestling because it is treated as your weapon skill. If you have 0 wrestling and you unequip your sword to cast you have a 100% chance to be hit/interrupted by someone with 100 attack skill. If you both have 100 attack skill, they only have a 50% to hit you.

Training

  • Wrestling is trained through combat with no weapon equipped.
  • Up to 50.0 skill can be trained by a NPC ? vendor.
  • Skill gains for Wrestling up to 70.0 are accelerated in the New Player Dungeon.
  • 50-70 fight creatures in the New Player Dungeon.
  • 70-100:
    • Method One:
    • Melee fight creatures in the world with no weapon equipped.
    • Method Two:
    • Use a 2nd account as a sparr dummy by attacking it with the character who is training.
    • Then toggle war/peace on the 2nd account dummy character.

  • Notes:
  • If both characters are not in the same guild the attacker will be flagged a criminal.
  • You will need a way to heal the second account character.
