===Slaying Murderers===
==Reporting Murders and Initial Attack Location==
* When a slain Murderer resurrects and pays their Murder Fees, the player that killed the murderer will receive anywhere from 25% to 50% (randomized amount) of the paid Murder Fees as Gold added directly to their Bank Box (previously was a flat 33% amount)
* When a player kills another player and can be reported for murder, it will now track where the Initial Attack occurred at, which is the most recent location where the "Player X is attacking you!" message was sent to the victim
* For all intents and purposes the Initial Attack location will be treated as the *actual* location of the murder for resolving Murder Fees and Aggression Restrictions (explained below)

Note: If a player is killed in a Grey Zone, they will still NOT be able to report the attacker for murder, even if the Initial Attack location occurred in a location where a murder could be reported (i.e. dying in a Grey Zone can never result in a Murder Count)

==Murder Fees==
==Murder Fees==
When a player commits a murder and is reported for it, the player's Murder Fees amount will increase based on the location where the Initial Attack on the victim occurred at. The fees are as follows:
* When a player commits a murder and is reported for it, that player's Murder Fee will default to 1000 Gold

* However, if the victim is able to report more than 1 player for their Murder, the Murder Fee amount will be increased by 250 Gold per additional player beyond the first: each of these additional players will be referred to as "Accomplices"

* When a player is reported for murder, they also will be told what the Murder Fee was for that individual murder, as well as what their newly adjusted Total Murder Counts and Total Murder Fees now are

===Murder Fees for Unique Areas===
Some areas will be considered unique and have a custom Murder Fee structure. In most cases, these will be dungeons that have unique level structures. Unique Murder Fees for locations are as follows:

==Aggression Restrictions==
* When Account Aggression is active, it can be seen in the Buff Bar (shown below)
* When a Murderer dies in a dungeon for any reason, they will by default have a 15 minute Aggression Restriction applied for that dungeon
* However, if within the 30 minutes prior to their death the Murderer is reported for any murders in that dungeon, their Aggression Restriction for the dungeon will be adjusted based on the longest penalty listed amongst the Initial Attack locations of any murders they were Reported for in that dungeon during that time

Example:
All 5 murderers will have a Murder Fee of (1000 + (4* 250)) = 2000 Gold assigned to them
* A murderer attacks someone in Nusero Level 3 and kills the victim in Nusero Level 2 (Initial Attack location is considered Level 3)
* The murderer then attacks someone in Nusero Level 2 and kills the victim in Nusero Level 1 (Initial Attack location is considered Level 2)
* The murderer themselves are then killed in Nusero Level 1
* The murderer will now receive an Aggression Restriction for Nusero of 45 minutes, due to the murder that had an Initial Attack location of Level 2

==Murderer Region Restrictions==
* If a Murderer dies in a punishable location (i.e. not Grey Zone or PvP event) they will have an Region Restriction placed upon them for every region they committed a murder within during the last 60 Minutes
* Region Restrictions prevent a player from committing Aggressive Actions towards any Blue players in that area
* Region Restrictions also prevent a player from committing Beneficial Actions towards any Murderer or Criminals in the area as well (they may heal Blue and Green players as normal, however)
* The duration of all of these Region Restrictions will be (30 Minutes + (15 Minutes Per Highest Accomplice Count)) based on the highest Accomplice count of any of their murders occuring over the last 60 minutes regardless of location
* Murderers that die in a Dungeon (not including Wilderness) will always have a minimum Region Restriction of 15 minutes put in place for that region (in addition to any restrictions due to recent murders)

* The player commits a murder by themself in Pulma
* The player then commits a murder with 2 players in the Wilderness
* The player then commits a murder with 5 other players in Ossuary
* The player is then killed after running into Darkmire Temple

===Aggression Restrictions for Wilderness===
The player's Highest Accomplice Count for any murder during the last 60 minutes is 4 Players, for their murder committed in Ossuary with 5 people
* If a Murderer dies in the Wilderness, their Aggression Restriction for the Wilderness will default to 15 Minutes
* However, if they have committed any murders in any High Penalty (90 Minutes) dungeon areas within the last 30 minutes, their Wilderness Aggression Restriction duration will be increased to 30 Minutes

Example:
The player will now have an Aggression Restrictions of (30 + (15 * 4)) = 90 minutes applied to Pulma and Ossuary
* A player commits several murders in Pulma level 1 and then exits the dungeon and is killed in the Overworld
The player will also have an Aggression Restriction of (90 * 0.5) = 45 minutes applied to the Wilderness
* The Murderer then receives an Aggression Restriction for the Wilderness of 30 minutes instead of the normal 15 minute duration

Summary

  • Players can track Murder Counts and have a running Murder Fees amount they will be responsible for paying on resurrection as a Murderer
  • Murderers who die while participating in a Town Struggle, around an IDOC area, or in a duel/tournament in the Arena, or while on a ship are not subject to resurrection fees
  • Each murder count requires 72 hours, of time logged in on the counted character, to decay
  • Players will remain Red (murderer status) until they have fewer than 5 murder counts on that character

Murderer Death

  • Murderers that die in a Dungeon (not including Wilderness) will always have a minimum Region Restriction of 15 minutes put in place for that region (in addition to any restrictions due to recent murders)
  • When players die, if they have 5 Murder Counts or more on their character, they will be responsible for paying off their Murder Fees Gold amount before they are allowed to resurrect
  • Upon paying their Murder Fees, the player's Murder Counts will be reduced to 5 (if above 5) and their Murder Fees amount will be set to 0
  • If a player elects to waits for their Murder Counts to decay below 5 and then resurrect, any Murder Fees for them will still remain in place, and will simply have to be paid off the next time they die with 5 Murder Counts or more

Slaying Murderers

  • When a slain Murderer resurrects and pays their Murder Fees, the player that killed the murderer will receive anywhere from 25% to 50% (randomized amount) of the paid Murder Fees as Gold added directly to their Bank Box (previously was a flat 33% amount)

Murder Fees

  • When a player commits a murder and is reported for it, that player's Murder Fee will default to 1000 Gold
  • However, if the victim is able to report more than 1 player for their Murder, the Murder Fee amount will be increased by 250 Gold per additional player beyond the first: each of these additional players will be referred to as "Accomplices"

Example

A player is attacked by 5 different players in a dungeon and is killed (i.e. a murder with 4 Accomplices)

All 5 murderers will have a Murder Fee of (1000 + (4* 250)) = 2000 Gold assigned to them

Murderer Region Restrictions

  • If a Murderer dies in a punishable location (i.e. not Grey Zone or PvP event) they will have an Region Restriction placed upon them for every region they committed a murder within during the last 60 Minutes
  • Region Restrictions prevent a player from committing Aggressive Actions towards any Blue players in that area
  • Region Restrictions also prevent a player from committing Beneficial Actions towards any Murderer or Criminals in the area as well (they may heal Blue and Green players as normal, however)
  • The duration of all of these Region Restrictions will be (30 Minutes + (15 Minutes Per Highest Accomplice Count)) based on the highest Accomplice count of any of their murders occuring over the last 60 minutes regardless of location
  • Murderers that die in a Dungeon (not including Wilderness) will always have a minimum Region Restriction of 15 minutes put in place for that region (in addition to any restrictions due to recent murders)

Wilderness

The Wilderness is now treated like a standard "Dungeon" for the purpose of assigning Region Restrictions However, Region Restrictions for the Wilderness will always have their duration reduced to 50% of the normal length that would be applied to Dungeons

Example

The following actions all occur within 60 minutes:

  • The player commits a murder by themself in Pulma
  • The player then commits a murder with 2 players in the Wilderness
  • The player then commits a murder with 5 other players in Ossuary
  • The player is then killed after running into Darkmire Temple

The player's Highest Accomplice Count for any murder during the last 60 minutes is 4 Players, for their murder committed in Ossuary with 5 people

The player will now have an Aggression Restrictions of (30 + (15 * 4)) = 90 minutes applied to Pulma and Ossuary The player will also have an Aggression Restriction of (90 * 0.5) = 45 minutes applied to the Wilderness
