Description
- The Swordmanship skill (also known as 'Swords') determines the player's chance to attack or avoid attacks while using a Swords-skill weapon. Sword weapons are typically average in terms of speed and damage. Swordsmanship special attacks against creatures are Lacerate, which increases the chance of weapon special effects against the target, and Bleed, which applies bleed tick damage against the target. One-handed Swords weapons may be poisoned using the Poisoning skill.
Summary
Swordsmanship allows the use of bladed weapons with a swing speed between the faster Fencing weapons and slower Macing weapons.
- All one-handed swordscan be poisoned using the Poisoning skill
- But no axes or two-handed swords weapons can be poisoned.
- The chance to hit with a swords class weapon is equal to (Player's Swordsmanship skill + 50) / ((Defender's Weapon or Wrestling skill + 50) * 2), plus any relevant accuracy bonuses
- Increases Base Weapon Damage by (25% * Skill / 100) as a secondary weapon skill (when using another weapon skill) in PvM.
