Summary
- Use Harvesting skills to acquire raw resources which can be refined into useful materials for Crafting
- Players will be occasionally be required to complete a Captcha when harvesting
- Harvesting skills do NOT receive an Active Skill Gain Bonus
- Harvesting skills raise more slowly than other skills
- Players can double-click harvested resources to convert them into their crafting resource if they have a proper tool in their pack (i.e. convert logs into boards, raw fish into fish steaks, ore into ingots)
- Boards, Leather, Ingots, and Fish are all normalized to weigh .1 stones each
- Whenever a player Recalls, Travels via Moongate, or Hikes, they will have a 60 second delay before they can attempt to Harvest again
Smart Harvest
- Use a tool and target yourself/status bar to begin Smart Harvesting
- The player will automatically harvest from any nearby "harvest node" that has resources remaining
Fishing
- Requires a Fishing Pole and the Fishing skill
- Capture a variety of Fish, including Aquarium creatures
- Special Fish (large fish, crab, lobsters, etc) are used in high-level Cooking recipes
Forensic Evaluation
- Requires a Skinning Knife and the Forensic Evaluation skill
- Leather is used to craft armor and other items
- Using Forensic Evaluation on corpses will also yield cooking ingredients and feathers from bird-type creatures
Lumberjacking
- Requires a Hatchet and the Lumberjacking skill
- Logs can be used to craft kindling, ships, furniture, addons and more
Mining
- Requires a Pickaxe and the Mining skill
- Ore is turned into Ingots by double-clicking on the Ore while near a Forge
- Ingots are used to create weapons, armor, tools and many other items
CAPTCHA
- Players will occasionally be required to complete a Captcha when harvesting
- If a player fails a CAPTCHA three times, they will be blocked and restricted from any form of harvesting for a set duration depending on the number of previous offenses
Commodities
- Players can purchase Blank Commodity Deeds from a Banker
- Double-click a Blank Commodity Deed and target the resource to create a Resource Commodity
- Commodities are NOT blessed and can be stolen/looted
Resource Maps
- Resource Maps yield Fish, Leather, Logs and Ore
- They must be deciphered in the same manner as Treasure Maps, by a Cartographer
- Resource Maps must be completed by a harvester with the requisite skill (i.e. 65 mining to harvest a Dull Copper Resource Map)
