Summary
- Players can now craft Smoke Bombs with the Tinkering skill
- In order to use a Smoke Bomb, players must have at least 80 Hiding and 80 Stealth skill
- Players can double-click a Smoke Bomb to make a normal Hiding skill check (treated as if they pressed the Hiding skill button), which if they succeed they will become Hidden, and then immediately make an additional free Stealth skill check to enter Stealth
Usage Requirements for Smoke Bombs
- The player must have at least 80 Hiding Skill and 80 Stealth Skill
- The player is in an area that allows for the Hiding skill to be used as normal
- The player is not waiting for any skill cooldowns (i.e. they could normally make a Hiding skill attempt)
- The player is not Flagged in PvP
- They are not inside a house
- Players cannot use a Smoke Bomb if they have used an Adventurer's Rope or cast the Teleport spell in the last 5 seconds
Nearby Creatures
- Normally, players will fail their Hiding attempt if there is a hostile player or creature within 12 tiles of the player that is within LOS (line of sight)
- However, when using a Smoke Bomb, all non-tamed/non-summoned creatures will be ignored for the 12 tile LOS check (i.e. the player can Hide even right next to an aggressive creature)
Success
- If the player successfully makes the Hiding skill check and then successfully makes the Stealth skill check, the Smoke Bomb is consumed and they can make stealth movement immediately
- There is a 2 minute cooldown between successful uses of Smoke Bombs
