Arcane
Summary
- Players with the Arcane Skill can wield Arcane Staves a new class of weapon that is designed around supporting "pure mage" builds
- Players having followers or using Barding skills within the last 60 seconds will lose:
- Arcane Buildup
- Arcane Codex Stances and Arcane Codex Finishers
- Weapon Abilities for Arcane Staves
- Players having followers or using Barding skills within the last 60 seconds will lose:
- Players with the Arcane Skill can chose Arcanist for the Paperdoll skill title
- The Arcane skill will boost the benefits players receive from Arcane Runes and Arcane Buildup
- A players chance to hit/defend with an Arcane Staff is based on their Arcane skill, but is also capped by their Wrestling skill
- Players with 80 Arcane and 80 Wrestling skill will be able to cast with an Arcane Staff equipped

- Players must remain stationary for 0.5 seconds in order to shoot (regardless of their Dexterity)
- Stationary delays scale in PvP based on a player's Dex, scaling from 1.0 seconds (25 Dex or lower) down to 0.5s (100 Dex or higher)
PvM
- Players have an (Effective Arcane Skill / 100%)) chance to avoid Spell Interruption from Creature/Environment Damage while casting with an Arcane Staff equipped
- Players with the Arcane Skill will now receive a (25% * (Arcane Skill / 100)) bonus to the effectiveness of nearby Arcane Runes
PvP Stationary Effects and Requirements
- Stationary Delays are the length of time that a player must remain on the same tile before a Ranged Weapon will fire
Weapon Swing Delay in PvP
- The Stationary Delay for Archery and Arcane Weapons scales in PvP based on a player's Dex, with delays scaling from 1.0 seconds (25 Dex or lower) down to 0.5 seconds (100 Dex or higher) [previously was flat 0.5 seconds]
- Examples
- A player with 25 Dex must remain stationary for 1.0 seconds before they may fire an Archery/Arcane Weapon
- A player with 63 Dex must remain stationary for 0.75 seconds before they may fire an Archery/Arcane Weapon
- A player with 100 Dex must remain stationary for 0.5 seconds before they may fire an Archery/Arcane Weapon
Damage Delays in PvP
- When attacking with a Ranged Weapon in PvP, the damage on hits will now have a delay that randomizes and scales based on Dex, with max delay ranging from between 0 seconds (100 Dex or higher) up to 0.5 seconds (25 Dex or lower)
- Examples
- A player with 25 Dex will have a randomized delay of 0 to 0.5 seconds for Ranged Weapon damage
- A player with 63 Dex will have a randomized delay of 0 to 0.25 seconds for Ranged Weapon damage
- A player with 100 Dex will have no delay for Ranged Weapon damage
Codex
- 80 Arcane and 80 Wrestling is required to use an Arcane Codex
- Arcane Staves benefit from Stances and Finishers provided by an Arcane Codex
Training
- Players gain Arcane Skill when making Melee Attacks or Casting Spells
