Description

• Players can utilize the Cartography skill to complete Treasure Maps.
• Cartography can also be used to hike to destinations in the Atlas.
• Cartographers can craft explorer packs, which are needed to complete Resource Maps.
• Used to decipher Research Materials

Treasure Maps

Treasure hunting requires the player to have sufficient printed Cartography skill to complete (Decode Map and Reveal Chest)
Minimum Cartography Skill Requirements for Treasure Map Chest Levels are as follows:

Explorer Pack

• Cartography skill is not needed to complete Resource Maps, only the Explorer Packs are needed
• Players can craft Explorer Packs under the Utility Items category
• Players can gain Cartography skill when consuming Explorer Packs Decoding a Treasure Map and Revealing a Treasure Map Chest
• Two Explorer Packs are needed to fully complete each map, regardless of difficulty

Cartography Bonuses

• Players will always have the following passive cartography bonuses active:

While On Land

• Player will receive a Damage Dealt bonus of (25% * (Cartography Skill / 100) against Creatures spawned from Treasure Map Chests and Trade Caravans
• Player will receive a Damage Resistance Bonus of (10% * (Cartography Skill / 100) against Creatures spawned from Treasure Map Chests and Trade Caravans

While On Ships

• Player will receive a Damage Dealt bonus of (25% * (Cartography Skill / 100) against Creatures and Crewmembers
• Player will receive a Damage Resistance Bonus of (10% * (Cartography Skill / 100) against Creatures and Crewmembers
• Spyglass searches have their Search Range increased by (25% * (Cartography Skill / 100))

PvP

Players will receive a Supplemental PvP Melee Damage Bonus of (10% * (Cartography Skill / 100) while Flagged in PvP Players will receive a Supplemental PvP Spell Damage Bonus of (10% * (Cartography Skill / 100) while Flagged in PvP

Atlases and Hiking

• Players can utilize either their Camping Skill or Cartography Skill when using an Atlas to Hike to locations
