Summary
See a showcase of tested, viable Progression Paths for the Mage Archetype. Please consider the following notes:
- The Mage Archtype is a versatile strong starter, which can become very strong endgame.
- If starting as a mage look to cap Mana Refund, while finding ways to increase damage and potentially mana regen.
- You can do this through higher quality gear, Aspect Mastery, Arcane Codex, and Mastery Chain Links
- Consider squeezing 80-100 Tracking into a template to passively track hostile players (PK's) so you can avoid them.
Basic Summoner (700 skill points)

- Playstyle: Use summons to Tank and kill, do damage yourself for the Wizards Grimoire

- Training Credits: 50 Wrestling, 50 Evaluating Intelligence
- Gear Recommendation: Leather Armor, Magical Spellbook with high potency
- Book/Codice/Kit Required: Wizard's Grimoire, Summoner's Tome, Book of Necromancy
- Aspect Recommendation: Void, Death or Eldritch
- Misc: Consider Resisting Spells instead of Tracking if you intend to fight back in PVP
