Summary

See a showcase of tested, viable Progression Paths for the Mage Archetype. Please consider the following notes:

  • The Mage Archtype is a versatile strong starter, which can become very strong endgame.
  • If starting as a mage look to cap Mana Refund, while finding ways to increase damage and potentially mana regen.
  • You can do this through higher quality gear, Aspect Mastery, Arcane Codex, and Mastery Chain Links
  • Consider squeezing 80-100 Tracking into a template to passively track hostile players (PK's) so you can avoid them.
 

Basic Summoner (700 skill points)

  • Playstyle: Use summons to Tank and kill, do damage yourself for the Wizards Grimoire
  • Starting Skills (Advanced): 50 Magery, 49 Necromancy, 1 Meditation
  • Training Credits: 50 Wrestling, 50 Evaluating Intelligence
  • Gear Recommendation: Leather Armor, Magical Spellbook with high potency
  • Book/Codice/Kit Required: Wizard's Grimoire, Summoner's Tome, Book of Necromancy
  • Aspect Recommendation: Void, Death or Eldritch
  • Misc: Consider Resisting Spells instead of Tracking if you intend to fight back in PVP

  • Book/Codice/Kit Requirements: Necromancy Book, Summoner's Tome, Wizard's Grimoire, Poison Kit
  • Aspect Recommendations: Poison
  • Link Recommendations: Damage to Poisoned, Spell Aspect Chance, spell Aspect Modifier
  • Misc: Consider taking tracking / wrestling for defense as this is the most glass cannon build
