  • Players can Reset Spent Points for a Thieves Codex once every 5 minutes

Pilfering and Mugging

  • If the player succeeds in Pilfering or Mugging a target, the player will receive some gold and potentially a Black Goods item in their backpack
  • Any Thieves Codex upgrades that are listed as working during/after a Pilfering/Mugging success will apply even if the target creature no longer has any Gold remaining for that player to steal
Examples of Pilfering and Mugging Success

Ruffian Upgrade

  • Allows the player use their printed Stealth skill in place of Tactics skill when doing a Mugging attempt (Backstab + Stealing) and for 10 seconds afterwards
  • This upgrade effectively allows players to drop some amount of Tactics skill from their template, and use their Stealth skill in its place when making Mugging and for any melee weapon swings occuring for 10 seconds after the attempt
  • Note: this does *not* allow the player to combine their Stealth skill and Tactics together to go above 100 Tactics: they can simply use some amount of Stealth skill in place of printed Tactics

Examples:

A player with Ruffian Tier 1 could have 67 printed Tactics and utilize 33 Stealth skill to have an effective Tactics of 100 for Mugging + 10 seconds afterwards
A player with Ruffian Tier 2 could have 33 printed Tactics and utilize 67 Stealth skill to have an effective Tactics of 100 for Mugging + 10 seconds afterwards
A player with Ruffian Tier 3 could have 0 printed Tactics and utilize 100 Stealth skill to have an effective Tactics of 100 for Mugging + 10 seconds afterwards

Shadow Hands Upgrade

  • Allows the player use their printed Hiding skill in place of Snooping skill when Pilfering or Mugging creatures
  • This upgrade effectively allows players to drop some amount of Snooping skill from their template, and use their Hiding skill in its place to making the Snooping skill checks needed to successfully do Pilfer or Mugging attempts on creatures
  • Note: this does *not* allow the player to combine their Snooping skill and Hiding together to go above 100 Snooping: they can simply use some amount of Hiding skill in place of Snooping

Examples:

A player with Shadow Hands Tier 1 could have 67 printed Snooping and utilize 33 Hiding skill to have an effective Snooping of 100 for Pilfering/Mugging
A player with Shadow Hands Tier 2 could have 33 printed Snooping and utilize 67 Hiding skill to have an effective Snooping of 100 for Pilfering/Mugging
A player with Shadow Hands Tier 3 could have 0 printed Snooping and utilize 100 Hiding skill to have an effective Snooping of 100 for Pilfering/Mugging
