Summary
The Spirit Speak skill provides bonuses to summoned followers, along with other spell bonuses and allowing players to use a Summoner's Tome.
Offensive Spell Bonuses
- Spirit Speak provides (+10% * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100)) Charged Spell Chance
Summoning Spells
- Summoning Spells take 5 seconds to cast
- Players cannot be interrupted by Creatures/Environmental sources while casting Summoning Spells
- Players cannot receive Mana Refunds from casting any Summoning Spells
- Players can still draw from mana-providing sources such as Eldritch Mana Wells or Necromancy Wither for summoning spells
- Dispelling a summon will not restore any mana by default
Summon Duration
- The base summon duration for non-Necromancy summons is (2 Minutes + (8 Minutes * (Printed Spirit Speak Skill / 100)))
- When players use the Spirit Speak skill to harvest energy from nearby corpses, it will automatically extend the Summon Duration of all their nearby non-Necromancy summons
- Players can achieve a maximum summon duration of 30 minutes with Spirit Speak skill corpse harvesting
- The amount of summon duration increase gained per corpse is determined based on the Creature Difficulty of the dead creatures and is further scaled based on how much damage the player did to the creature (as a percentage of the total damage dealt of all players)
- Duration Increase in Seconds = (10% + (90% * Player Damage Dealt To Creature Percent)) * (50 * (Square Root of Creature Difficulty))
Berserk Summons
- Blade Spirits and Energy Vortexes are considered "Berserk" followers and will automatically attack any non-tamed creatures/NPCs that are grey in their perception range
- Berserk followers will not attack players or their followers
- The player has no control over which creatures berserk followers attack, nor can they issue any commands to them
- Berserk followers cannot be released but must instead be dispelled with the Dispel spell, either by targeting the summon directly or the player can target themself to dispel the lowest duration berserk follower under their control.
- Berserk followers generate more aggro then other followers
Dispelling Other Players' Summons
- When a player attempts to Dispel another player's summoned follower (with the Dispel or Mass Dispel spell) there is a (50% * (Controller's Printed Spirit Speak Skill / 100)) chance the Summoned Follower will ignore the dispel attempt (this applies to normal and Undead summons)
Stat and Skill Increases
The Stats and Skills of all summoned followers are increased based on the caster's Effective Spirit Speak Skill:
Stat / Skill | Increase |
---|---|
Hit Points | +150% * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Attack Speed | +25% * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Damage | +50% * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Wrestling | +50% * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Armor | +25 * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Magic Resist | +50 * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Dispel Resistance | 20% * (Effective Spirit Speak Skill / 100) |
Reducing Effective Spirit Speak
- If a player gets PvP flagged their summons' stats and skills will be automatically adjusted to their printed spirit speak skill
- Additionally Summoner Tome upgrades will not apply against players
- If a player removes or deactivates any Aspect Armor or Mastery Chains that provides a bonus to their Effective Spirit Speak, any summons controlled by that player will have their summons' stats and skills adjusted accordingly

- The creature pools are as follows

- Creature Pool 2: All existing non-Mount Tameable creatures that are 1 Control Slot and have Min Taming between 60-70

- Creature Pool 4: All existing non-Mount Tameable creatures that are 1 Control Slot and have Min Taming between 90-100
- Summoning creatures with the Necromancy Vengeful Spirit ability active pulls from a unique pool of undead creatures
Summoner's Tome
- Main article: Summoner's Tome
Players can further enhance their summoned followers against creatures with a Summoner's Tome which requires at least 80 Printed Spirit Speak and 80 Magery to use.
Necromancy Summons
- Main article: Necromancy
Any summon that is cast while the Necromancy "Vengeful Spirit" ability is active will be summoned as an undead summon with the same stats, skills and abilities as their normal counterparts. The exception to this is Summon Creature, which summons unique undead creatures instead of 1 slot tameables while the ability is active.
