Summary

Players can choose skillshave a wide range of character styles that can be Outland Players recommendations on how to start the game

  • there are nearly endless options to Build a character
  • due to constant Patches and changes advanced Templates change to often to outline them here
  • be welcome to Discord to discuss specific builds or just try builds ingame or on the Test Shard

Starter Builds

These are temporary, true newbie builds that can take advantage of the accelerated skill gain in New Player Dungeon to get a quick start for players who don't want to macro endlessly. Get to 700 points quickly, then switch certain skills to down arrows as desired to continue advancement into a more advanced template). See the detailed Skill infos to see why they are included.

Starter Bard (700 skill points)

PvM Farming Templates for New Players

These are very effective, low gold cost templates which can be used to farm up the money needed to pursue other careers.

Basic Peaceadin (700 Skillpoints)

100 Strength
100 Dexterity
  25 Intelligence

100 Musicianship
100 Peacemaking
100 Discordance
100 Fencing or Macefighting
100 Tactics
100 Chivalry
100 Tracking

  • Playstyle: Peace and kill Enemies 1 by 1
  • Starting Skills (Advanced): Chivalry 50, Fencing or Macefighting 49, Discordance 1
  • Training Credits: Musicianship 50, Peacemaking 50
  • Recommended Aspect: Lyric
  • Recommended Weapon: Burst or Grinding (Medium) weapon
  • Recommended Armor: Platemail
  • Needed Codices: Chivalry Book, Fencing or Macefighting Codex, Bard Codex
  • Misc: Highly Recommended for newer players as a great early game build (cheap, strong)
  •           It also performs well as support in groups


Basic Summoner (700 skill points)

  • Playstyle: Use summons to Tank and kill, do damage yourself for the Wizards Grimoire
  • Starting Skills (Advanced): 50 Magery, 49 Necromancy, 1 Meditation
  • Training Credits: 50 Wrestling, 50 Evaluating Intelligence
  • Gear Recommendation: Leather Armor, Magical Spellbook with high potency
  • Book/Codice/Kit Required: Wizard's Grimoire, Summoner's Tome, Book of Necromancy
  • Aspect Recommendation: Void, Death or Eldritch
  • Misc: Consider Resisting Spells instead of Tracking if you intend to fight back in PVP

  • Gear Recommendations: Grinding Light & Shield or Grinding Medium weapon, Platemail
  • Book/Codice/Kit Requirements: Chivalry Book, Weapon Skill Codex, Parry Codex, Healer's Codex
  • Aspect Reco: Air, Earth, Fire, Discipline, Holy
  • Misc: Dexxers are slow starters, but great end game - focus on accuracy, swing speed (Chiv Divine Fury)

  • Playstyle: Use Blackguard or Wild Swing stance - while mugging your mobs, then skinning them
  • Gear Recommendation: Burst Weapon for backstab, Grinding Light/Medium for follow up if needed
  • Book/Codice/Kit Required: Thieves Codex, Macefighting or Fencing Codex
  • Aspect Required: Shadow
  • Link Recommendation: Backstab Damage, Damage Above 66% HP, Melee Damage/Armor Ignore
  • Misc: You need an already leveled Thieves Codex for this template to work.
  •           Carry Smokebombs to escape from PKs.




PvP Templates
